Colours may vary slightly between screens and printed artwork due to monitor settings, lighting conditions, and printing processes. These variations do not constitute a defect.
Framing & Hanging: The paper print comes unframed. I recommend framing this piece with a dark timber frame (or black if looking for something more modern), non-reflective glass, and around 6cm matte board spaced 2-3cm away from the edge of the image, giving space for the signature and numbering to show at the bottom of the image.

About the artwork
The original painting was created as a collaboration with the Kevin Richardson Foundation. I met with Kevin in South Africa and spent a week with him and his lions, photographing them for the composition. After taking many photos and creating several different compositions with the individual images, I finally ended up with this concept. As the lions in the painting are from separate references, I added extra lighting and shadows to create unity between the figures. The intensity in the gazes, and relaxed postures create tension that pulls the viewer in.
The original painting has been a finalist in the 18th ARC Salon Art Competition, and Visitor Harbour art show. The full sale of the original will be donated to the Kevin Richardson Foundation to further aid the work Kevin and his team are doing in wildlife conservation in South Africa.
