About the artist

CARLA GRACE

Wildlife Artist

I’m a self-taught wildlife artist based in South Australia, creating realistic oil and acrylic paintings shaped by a lifelong connection to the natural world. Growing up in Africa gave me a deep understanding of wildlife, not just how it looks, but how it moves, behaves, and exists within its environment. Over time, that understanding has been refined through years of painting, building a full-time practice, and developing work that is now collected both in Australia and internationally.

This platform is where I share that process openly with other artists. My goal is not just to teach you how to paint a finished piece, but to help you understand the decisions behind it, from value and colour to edges, layering, and structure. I break down the way I approach a painting so you can build confidence, develop your own style, and create work with more intention. If you’re willing to put in the time, this is a space where you can genuinely improve and take your wildlife art to a higher level.
